First of all, my apologies for my blogging laxness. I won’t bore you with the details, but the past few months have been incredibly hectic for an old dude in his 7th year of “retirement.” I have a lot going on through at least October, but I’ll try to do better.
In that spirit, I’m participating in my first webinar since the pandemic and it’s a timely one about surviving and even thriving in a hard market. Below are the details.
“No One Said It Would be Easy. Navigating the Current Hard Market”
FREE Webcast!
Thursday, August 3, 2023, 1:30 p.m. EDT / 12:30 p.m. CDT / 11:30 a.m. MDT / 10:30 a.m. PDT
Moderator: Patrick Wraight, Academy of Insurance
Panel: Bill Wilson, Nancy Germond, Scott Margraves
How can agents survive, even thrive, in a hard market? What is a “hard market” and how do we know we’re in one? How can we retain existing customers? What opportunities might there be to acquire new business? What E&O issues should agents be wary of? What hard market “shenanigans” should agents, risk managers, and policyholders be wary of? What other competitive resources are available to deal with the hard market?
A hard market presents problems and opportunities. The bad news is two-fold: competitive pressures due to increased premiums could lead to lost accounts and reduced coverages could lead to increased E&O claims. However, there is potentially twice as much good news that can come from a hard market. What are four “good news” possibilities? Well, you’ll have to attend the webcast to find out….

I tried to register for this free webinar and it showed me a $129 charge?
Apparently the free section has maxed out and the regular webinar rate is not in force.

The Academy’s default setting is to revert to the original price the day of a webinar, but this one is intended to be free.
That worked. Thanks Bill!
